My Friday...

Why is it that when bad luck comes, it comes in 3's? Why does it always happen in one day? Let me tell you about my Friday. It started out with me taking gifts down to the salvation army, for the baby we bought Christmas for. Then when I try to leave there it starts. First my car won't start. So tanner comes and tries to jump me. No luck, so we call grant to come tow us. He get there and tries to jump my car with the truck and it starts. So Tanner takes it it Autozone to have them test the electrical system. Of course they tell us it's fine, so we take it to the mechanic shop. They can't even look at it for a while, so we had to leave it because I had to go to work. Then a few hours later, they call me from the shop and say that the coolant temp sensor needs to be replaced and the old coolant drained, and new coolant put in. I ask how much? They say 315.00 dollars. Well I tell him to go ahead and order the part because it has to be done. Then he tells me that they can't even get the part in till Monday, so I won't have a car for the weekend. Let me tell you it is awfully fun sitting here by myself for 8 hours. Oh well what do you do? Second my car needs new tires, and that is like 600.00 dollars, which there is nothing I can do about that either because it has to be done before we can come to Idaho Falls next week. Why is it that car problems always come at the most inopportune times? And last but not least, my work told me yesterday that they are letting me go after next Wednesday, because they can't give me enough hours next year, due to losing some children. So it is back to square one. Yeah. It is hard to remember how blessed you are when things like this happens, but I know I am, and I am trying to remember that.

On a more positive note, I made it through finals. I did well on all of them. My report card is in and here it is.
Anatomy and Physiology B-
Chemistry A-
Nutrition A-
Medical Terminology A+
Math 108 B+
I am pretty excited as you can tell. I am so ready for the break though now. Happy Holidays everyone. We love you all.

Can't wait to see everyone at Christmas.

Here It Is!

I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to update our blog I have been really busy. We don't really have anything exciting going on in our lives right now. Tanner got a new toy. And no it is not another car. It is a computer. He is so happy to have his new computer that he hasn't got off it all day today. What's new. Anyways now the part that Tracy, Jill and Tenille have been waiting for the recipe for oatmeal cake. Drumroll please! Just kidding.

Here we go AGAIN...

It's official I dislike ISU! I called them yesterday to see if they have processes my FAFSA yet, and the lady I was talking to asked me for my name and Bengal number. Then she proceeded to tell me that, it was not ready. So I asked how much longer do you think it will be, because I have a loan that needs to be paid off with that money. Her response was I am not sure, I don't know how many other people are in front of you to have their stuff looked over. Then the next thing she told me was that I would have the money sometime before the next semester, but that she could not give me an exact date. REALLY, honestly this is getting old because they told me it would only be 3-4 weeks. Nope not with my luck. I really think that this semester has started with a bang.

A Fun Get Away

This past weekend we were able to go down to Salt Lake City and spend some time with Tyler, Tracy, and Abby. We left Friday night about six o clock and got to the hotel about nine o clock. Tyler and Tracy didn't tell Abby that we were coming down, but as soon as we walked in the door see was excited to see us. The five of us sat around and talked for a while and then went to bed around midnight. Abby didn't want to sleep in her bed so she ended up in Tyler and Tracy's bed. No worries Tracy we really didn't notice Abby's crying very much. The next day we got up and went to the Hogle Zoo. The zoo was a lot of fun. The last time I was there, I think I was about six years old. The best part was watching Abby, and seeing how excited she was when we saw the monkey's. There were lots of baby animals, and it was fun to see them all. I especially loved the baby tigers. The bird show was awesome, as well. I don't know how they trained the birds, but they trained them to fly down over you heads. They were so close to your head that your hair would blow after they flew over your head. It was pretty awesome. Also why we were at the zoo we rode the carousel, and the train. Abby didn't really like the carousel, but loved the train and cried when we had to get off it. We were at the zoo from 11 til about 4:30. Then later that night we went to the cheesecake factory with Tyler, Tracy, and Abby, for dinner. Then unfortunately, after dinner we had to head back home. The drive home was pretty bad for me because I had a migraine that would not go away. Other than that we had an awesome trip. Thanks Tyler and Tracy for letting us stay in your hotel room with you on Friday.

Tanner and me at the Zoo.

The bear he is pretty cute.
The momma and the baby giraffe. I think that this picture is so cute.

The mommy tiger and one of her little cubs asleep in the sun.
Tanner seeing how he measures up to a gorilla.

Tanner's Boo Boo

Yeah that's right tanner has a boo boo. Last Thursday Tanner went up to the farm with his grandma to help her a David build a chicken coop. Apparently his aim is not very good because he missed the nail and hit his thumb. I think that it is safe to say that his nail will most likely fall off. Also tanner wants everyone to see it so here you go.

Tanner with a happy smile on his face even though his thumb hurt.

Sorry this picture is kind of blurry. But you can still see his thumb.

Finally some good news...

Well guess what happened today? I bet you can't guess. If your thinking that I have finally settled with the insurance company, I wish, but your wrong. If you thinking that it's my financial aid, and that it is finally here, wrong again. Okay I will tell you. This morning about ten minutes before my class I got a phone call from Jelliebean Jungle a daycare that I applied at, and they want me to work for them. I start tomorrow and I am pretty excited because this is the place that I really wanted to work at. So big thanks to all of you who prayed for me. I finally won't be bored out of my mind now. I just hope that with my school and now work, I won't be overwhelmed. I'm sure that I do fine, but I am kind of a worrier.

And were off... with a BANG...

Alright I just need to tell you about ISU. So I went to the school on Monday, to pay for my schooling. When I get there and they print off my bill I have no financial aid. So I go and stand in this very long line to speak with the financial aid people. Finally after like 25 minutes it my turn and I ask them why my financial aid has not come through? The tell me because I'm being audited and they need a copy of my tax return, and that they sent me an email last week. They also say that I am going to need to get a fee loan through ISU to pay for tuition. So I go back to the ballroom and wait in some more lines for about 45 minutes, finally its my turn to speak with someone about getting the loan. The loan is approved for tuition which was 2634.00, but they won't give you any money for book, sweet. So I wait in some more lines and finish paying.

Then I go home and print off a copy of our tax returns, to take back to them. So, I finally get back to the school, and give them my tax return. Then I asked them how long it will take for them to release my financial aid now that they have my taxes, they tell me it will be at LEAST another three to four weeks. I also asked them why they are auditing me when my husbands financial aid already came through, and we filed a joint tax return, they tell me that they don't know. So, then I ask them what am I suppose to do for books, and they say, well you can apply for ANOTHER loan, that is 500 dollars to help you with books. What another loan?

So I fill out all the paper work and turn it in to them and then the lady tells me that it will take 24 hours to get an answer, and to call back tomorrow around the same time, and they would let me know. The start of this school year has started off with a BANG. To say the least.

Other than all this crap with my financial aid, school has been good, and has gone well for the first week, we will see how long that lasts.

A Few of My Favorite Things

So i guess it is my turn, since all of you have gone.

I love my husband for making my life easy, and for being my best friend.

I love all of my little sunbeams that I teach every Sunday at church. They are so smart, and teach us both so much.

I love being outside, and just taking in all of the beauty that earth has to offer.

I love being a wife, aunt, sister, and daughter.

I love that my parents support me in whatever I do.

I love camping.

I love spending time with my husband.

I also like Ryann love chocolate, I eat it almost everyday.

I love living in the greatest country in the world. Even though it may not have a stable economy right now.

I love the smell of my house after I am done cleaning it with Clorox.

There are lots of other things that I love but we would be here all night. I am very lucky to live in America and have food and shelter. I am glad that I did this, because I think that we take too much for granted. Now that I have done this, why don't you try it for yourself.

Our Special Day

This past weekend Tanner and I celebrated our one year anniversary going through the temple, and making our marriage forever. It was a great experience for both of us. Then on Saturday after we went through the temple we had a party out at my parents house with all our family and friends. It is so awesome to have family and friends that support us in whatever we do. Thanks to everyone for helping with the food. We are glad that you could all share in are special day. I also wanted to tell Tanner that I love very much and that I am thankful that he is my husband. He takes such good care of me, and I am thankful for him. I LOVE YOU TANNER.

Tanner and I outside of the temple.

Our parent and us outside the temple.

I am so glad that we made the choice to go through the temple and be sealed together for time and all eternity. All in all it was a very special and wonderful day for us. Thanks to everyone who shared our special day with us. Love you guys.

Remodel

So this is a little late going up, because we got done with the kitchen last Tuesday, but better late than never. So Tanner his friend Myka and his brother tore the wallpaper off in about an hour on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday Myka and I painted the kitchen a really light minty green color. On Thursday Myka and Tanner started sanding down the cabinet doors and drawers outside. After that they started sanding the cabinets, however those could not come down, and boy what a mess it made. Anyways, on Saturday the boys finally finished the sanding. Then it was my turn. Tanner had to work and I didn't want to stain the cabinets by myself so I called my dad to come down and help. He drove down from Idaho Falls and helped me, we put a couple of coats on and then called it good. On Sunday I had to wash all of my dishes because the dust got everywhere, so after church I started washing the dishes and finally got done at 11:00 pm. Then on Monday I had to stain all of the cabinet doors and drawers which sucked by the way. I ended up getting sick and so it was just not a very fun day. Then on Tuesday I finally got the rest of my house put back together. This remodel was not much fun because all of my kitchen was in my living room, but it was so worth it. Here are so before and after pictures of the kitchen.

Befores

Ugly wall paper we tore down. ( No offense Jill)

Ugly wall paper take 2

The cabinets before.

The cabinets after sanding.

The drop cloth that was suppose to help with the dust control. Yeah right it still got everywhere.

Tanner and Myka after sanding down the cabinets. The both looked like they had white hair after sanding down the cabinets each day.

All of my kitchen in my living room. What a mess that was.

Afters

Well what do you think let us know. We love it! Tanner and Myka worked really hard on sanding down the cabinets and drawers. My dad my sister Savannah and me worked hard on staining the cabinets. Big thanks to everyone that helped with the kitchen we really appreciate it.

GUESS WHAT

I have the most exciting news I have had in a long time. So back at the beginning of march I had to go to California to go see Allstate's doctor. Well anyways my dad ended up paying for the hotel and the car rental ( which was suppose to already be paid for) and I have been fighting with them to reimburse my dad for the last 4 months. Well guess what they finally did. I got a check in the mail yesterday. Man no wonder everyone says that the are the worst company to deal with. Anyways I just thought that I would share that with you so, hope everyone is doing well.

New Project

SO it's summer now and it is going well. I have started a new project that Jill wanted done. I am ripping all of the wall paper in the kitchen down, repainting, and fixing the cabinets. I am glad that I have this project to keep me busy, because I am so bored. I am still trying to find a job but there are not a whole lot of places hiring. On a good note I think that Allstate is ready to get down to business, IT'S ABOUT TIME. I am just ready for it to be over and done with. Anyways I hope all is well with everyone.

So sorry...

I apologize that I have not put up a new post in a while. Anyways here is what has been happening with us. We have been busy with school, but we are almost done 2 weeks after this week. Tanner has been working a ton so we just haven't had a whole lot of time.
For Easter we had Blake and Alyssa, and they went to church with us. After church we went to Travis and Ryann's for dinner, which by the way Ryann it was very good :). Yesterday after church I talked with the bishop and the are going to make Tanner an Elder on May 17. Also the bishop told me that we could go head and call the temple and set up a time to go through on July 11. We are both really excited, and want to thank all of you for being a good example for us. We love you all. I will let you know the time for the temple as soon as I call the temple. Hope all is well with everyone.

Back to Reality...

So this week has been crazy starting school again after spring break. However I have made it through the two test I had this week and now I can go back to normal life, trying to find a job. Ha Ha Ha that's funny like NO one is hiring right now. Oh well I will just keep looking. I have to say one thing I am sure glad that my husband has a good job, especially is these hard times. Oh well I will just have to be patient and something will come along, I hope. Well I hope all is well with everyone. Love you guys.

Yea I made it...

I am so excited to not have to go to school next week. It has been very crazy and I am glad for a break. I am going to try to get some cleaning done around the house, and see if I can figure out what is going on with Allstate. I also plan to catch up on some sleep. Other than that no big plans. Hope everyone is doing well. Love you guys.

Irritated...

So I have not updated my blog yet, and I apologize for that. Anyways not a whole lot has been going on lately, Tanner just had his 22nd birthday yesterday. Today I had to fly to California to go see Allstates doctor except it is not going so well. We landed in cali without any problems but then when we went to get the rental car they told me that I had to pay for it because it was not paid for. The same thing happened with the hotel too. The whole thing was suppose to be paid for, and I had to shell out 370 dollars as soon as i landed so I am not a happy camper right now. Anyways I will update everything we I get home tomorrow. Love you all and hope everything is going well.

Updates...

How have you all been? I hope everyone is doing well. To update everyone on Tanner's car we got a phone call today and the said that they were going to total it. Oh well we tried. Anyways they are giving Tanner enough money to pay the loan off that is on it so thankfully we don't owe anything on it. We are extremely lucky to have a good insurance company and such a good state farm agent that has our best interest at heart. Anyways in other news Tanner and I have started preparing to go through the temple, and our goal is to go around our anniversary. We are really excited to go through. We send love to all of you and hope to see everyone soon.

Burnt Out...

I am so sorry that I haven't posted a new entry lately, I have just been so busy studying for tests and now I am over the bulk of them I only have one more left (at least for a few weeks). I am so worn out I can't wait for the weekend so that I can have a break and play. I hope that everyone is doing well.

And the verdicts in...

So we took tanners car into the shop on Tuesday to see how much it would be to fix it. They were too busy to look at it right then so they asked us if we could leave it and then call us after they looked at it. So later that day I get a phone call from the shop telling me that is is going to be 6000 dollars to fix the car if state farm has to pay for parts, and 3500 if tanner supplies all the parts from his other supra. Then after I was done talking to that guy that I received a call from our state farm telling me that he had turned in a claim on the car and that it was probably going to be totaled and that's not even the best part I had to be the one to tell him that. So when he called me on his lunch break I broke the news to him. He was a little upset but really who wouldn't be, I mean we haven't even made the first payment on it. Then on Friday Tanner got a call from a state farm claim adjuster telling him that his car has officially been totaled. So now what? I don't know what to do with the car or tanner. Anyways the moral of the story is don't buy a car out of state and then drive it home, instead have it towed.

The best and the worst...

This weekend has been so eventful with the arrival of our nephew Hunter. He was born on Friday January 30, 2009 at 9:27 am and weighed 6lbs 1oz and was 20 inches long. He is the most adorable thing I have ever seen.We also found out that Tanners friend John is engaged and getting married in May. Now starts the unfortunate event. On Saturday Tanner flew to Spokane to pick up his new toy he bought from a guy down there. That soon turned into a nightmare when I received a call from Tanner saying that he had just slid into a wall. Don't worry though tanner is fine, but his car is not. It has some damage to the front bumper. Poor Tanner he works so hard to provide a good life for me and doesn't ask for much in return, and he finally gets something he has waited a long time for and now it's ruined. I know how excited he was about this car, and now I don't know what to do with it. I fell so bad for him. When it rains it really does poor. All together this weekend was filled with joyous events and a crappy ending for Tanner.

When it rains....

SO I had an interesting day yesterday. More or less it was a really bad day. First the people at the ISU bookstore people were being retarded. They were trying to tell me that I had to pay full price for a book that was used. Then I received a call from me attorney and he told me that I have to go to California to go and see Allstate's doctor for an accident I was in 2 and a half years ago, and to top it all off they want me to go during mid- terms at school. Then after that was all settled i took Tanner and dropped him off at his class, and was heading to mine when the car in front of me reversed and back right it to me. I am grateful to say that there was very little damage to the car. Then i was late to class. Overall it was not a very good day.

Busy Week

So this week both Tanner and I started school. It was a crazy week and I wish that we were both almost done. However, I just changed my major so I have another 3 years. That's probably about how long Tanner has to, if he would just decide what he wants to do. Love ya honey! Anyways this weekend we celebrated Tanner's grandma's 90th birthday, and it was a lot of fun. She is a pretty awesome lady and still going strong at 90. We also celebrated my father-in-laws birthday. We were fortunate enough to have Tanner's brother Troy and his wife Laura here for both of the events. We really MISS you guys and can't wait to see you in the summer. Today we started a new calling at church. We were called to be sunbeam teachers in the primary. For those of you who don't know what a sunbeam is, it is class of 12 three year old's. I was very proud of Tanner today because he was very patient with the kids and I know that three year old's can be a handful. Anyways I think that in the coming weeks things will settle down and become easier. We really love our calling and are very excited to be teachers in the primary. Over all it was a jam packed weekend filled with friends and family.

New Years Vacation

Hey there everyone. Sorry I haven't written anything for a few weeks. We just got back from our cruise we went with some friends and it was so much fun. We left on the 30th of December and flew to Orlando Florida and played around there for a few days. We went shopping, visited the Kennedy Space Center, and ate at the cheesecake factory my all time favorite restaurant. Then we drove down to Miami and spent a night there before we got on the boat. The hotel in Miami was pretty cool because it was right on the beach. We played in the water for a long time. The next day we got on the boat and set sail for the Cayman Islands and Jamaica. It was a blast the boat had all sorts of entertainment and the food was wonderful. The weather was perfect it was about 85 degrees the whole trip. Overall we had a blast and are for sure going on another cruise in the near future. Then we came back to reality and froze our buts off after getting back.
